“Pay (under protest) today and continue your fight for justice tomorrow.” The term 'protest' signifies an act of dissent or disapproval. It involves a formal declaration by an individual interested or concerned about a particular action that is either about to occur or has already taken place, expressing disagreement or disapproval towards it. This type of action can be carried out without acknowledging the existence or agreement with a certain matter and aims to absolve oneself from potential consequences, typically unfavorable. Similarly, paying taxes under protest follows a similar principle.
