Consistency principles applies to Business Promotion Expenses

The ITAT Delhi held that the Assessing Officer had ignored the principle of consistency by disallowing expenses that had been accepted in earlier and later years on identical facts. 

Since the books of account were duly audited and never rejected, and the expenditure was supported by records, the ad hoc disallowance was held to be unsustainable.
