Composite GST Notices Invalid

The Kerala HC, in the case of Aranmulla Chits, has held that a single GST assessment proceeding covering multiple financial years is legally impermissible, reiterating that separate notices and adjudication must be undertaken for each assessment year. Consequently, the Court set aside the composite assessment order while permitting the Dept to initiate fresh proceedings in accordance with law.
