Composite GST Notices invalid

The Kerala High Court quashed a GST show cause notice issued for multiple financial years through a single proceeding, holding that such composite notices are legally unsustainable. 

The Court permitted the department to issue separate notices for each assessment year while protecting the Revenue through exclusion of the intervening period for limitation purposes.
